How Do I Order Lockable Gas Struts from GASTAC?
Lockable gas struts are gas springs with a built-in locking mechanism that holds position at any point within the stroke. They are used in medical equipment, furniture, automotive, and industrial applications where a fixed, adjustable position is required.
This page explains how to order lockable gas struts from GASTAC — MOQ, lead time, payment terms, shipping, and sample policy. It also includes a cross-reference tool to confirm your model before placing an order.
Send your requirement and our engineering team will reply with a quotation and matching options within 24 hours for standard models. Free technical consultation, no minimum order for samples.
Step 1 — Send Your Enquiry
Send your requirement to sales@manufacturer.gastac.com or use the form at the bottom of this page. Include as much of the following as you have:
- Original brand and part number (if replacing an existing strut)
- Force (F1) and stroke
- Mounting hole distance (center-to-center)
- End fitting type (ball joint / eyelet / clevis / release system)
- Locking type (elastic / rigid / gas strut with lock / latch)
- Estimated annual or per-order quantity
- Destination port
If you do not have all parameters, send what you have. Our engineering team can help confirm the missing specifications.
Step 2 — Model Confirmation & Quotation
For standard models, we confirm the matching model and send a quotation within 24 hours. For custom or out-of-range parameters, confirmation may take 2–3 working days. The quotation includes unit price, MOQ, lead time, and payment terms.
Step 3 — Sample Approval
Standard samples ship in 3–7 days. Custom samples take 7–15 days depending on complexity. Sample fee is USD 15–50 per piece for standard models, and the fee is refunded on orders of 500 pcs or more. For custom samples, a tooling or setup fee may apply.
Step 4 — Place Your Order
Once the sample is approved, place your order. Standard payment terms are 30% deposit, 70% before shipment. We accept T/T (bank transfer), L/C at sight, and PayPal for small orders.
Step 5 — Production & Shipment
Standard lead time is 15–30 days after deposit and sample approval. For urgent orders, lead time can sometimes be shortened to 10–15 days — inform us of your deadline at the enquiry stage. We ship from Ningbo and Shanghai, and support FOB, CIF, and EXW terms.
What Is the MOQ, Lead Time, and Payment Terms for Lockable Gas Struts?
Before placing an order, most buyers need three numbers confirmed: the minimum order quantity (MOQ), the production lead time, and the payment terms. The table below summarizes GASTAC’s standard terms for lockable gas struts. These are the terms you will see in your quotation — they are not variable per customer, but they can be adjusted for long-term partners or urgent orders.
Standard Terms at a Glance
MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) — Standard lockable gas strut models start at 500 pcs per size. This keeps unit cost low because we can run the production line without setup changes. For custom OEM/ODM projects, MOQ depends on the tooling and material needed — send us your specification and we will confirm.
Lead time — Production starts after deposit and sample approval. Standard models ship in 15–30 days. Urgent orders can sometimes be shortened to 10–15 days, but this depends on current capacity. Tell us your deadline at the enquiry stage so we can confirm feasibility.
Payment terms — Standard terms are 30% deposit, 70% before shipment. We accept T/T (bank transfer), L/C at sight, and PayPal for small orders. For long-term partners, terms can be discussed.

How Do I Confirm My Model Before Ordering?
If you are replacing an existing lockable gas strut, use the table below to find a GASTAC equivalent. In the lockable gas strut category, Stabilus is the primary brand with a well-established OEM part numbering system. Other brands do not use the same cross-reference structure, so matching is done by mounting dimension and force.
Data source: based on mounting dimension and force cross-check.
Reference price range for GASTAC lockable gas strut equivalents: USD 12–50 per piece, depending on model, force, and stroke. Contact us for an exact quotation.
Always confirm with your original part number before ordering. If your model is not listed, submit your part number or parameters and we will match it within 24 hours (standard models). After finding your replacement model, re-check the mounting hole distance. Visit our Technical Support Center for the standard dimension measurement guide.
Other Brands — How Matching Works Without an OEM Number
In the lockable gas strut category, Stabilus is the primary brand with a public OEM part numbering system, which is why the table above focuses on Stabilus equivalents. Other leading brands — ASRaymond, Suspa, Bansbach, Camloc, Easylift, IGS, and Hahn Gasfedern — do not use the same public OEM cross-reference structure. For these brands, matching is done by mounting dimension, force, stroke, and end fitting rather than by part number. Send us your existing strut dimensions or a photo with measurements, and we will confirm the GASTAC equivalent.
Replacing a non-Stabilus brand?
