We can\u00a0produce and offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diameter CPO: up to 16\u2033 Rd. \u00a0Imperial and metric sizes.<\/p>\n

Diameter IH-CP: up to 12\u2033 Rd. \u00a0Imperial and metric sizes.<\/p>\n

Length: Lengths on the floor to 45\u2032 long, and\u00a0Gastac\u00a0can produce to even longer lengths upon request and review.<\/p>\n

Grade: Typical grades 1045, 1050, 10V45, 4140HT, 4150HT, and 17-4 stainless. \u00a0Other grades upon customers\u2019s requirements<\/p>\n

Chrome thickness: 0.001\u2033 min thick per side standard. \u00a0Other thicknesses upon customers\u2019s requirements<\/p>\n

Surface finish: 12 Ra max standard. \u00a0\u201cSuper Polish\u201d upon request for even tighter surface control. \u00a0Ra, Rz, Rmr, Rk, Rpk, Rvk, and other parameters available for specialized jobs. \u00a0\u201cSuper Polish\u201d is available on all sizes and lengths of hydraulic cylinder rod.<\/p>\n

Straightness: 0.001\u2033 to 0.002\u2033 per foot max and 0.010\u2033 max TIR over the entire bar length. \u00a0Our customers have grown to appreciate our special straightness capabilities over the years.<\/p>\n

Yield Strength:\u00a0Many sizes available with 75,000 PSI min yield. \u00a0We also carry 50,000 PSI and 100,000 PSI min yield material.<\/p>\n

IH \u2013 Induction Hardening: Standard fluid power specifications are 50-55 Rc surface hardness with a case depth of 0.050\u2033 min deep. \u00a0Other hardness and case depth requirements are available, including deep case IH. \u00a0We can also\u00a0harden the rods areas of the bar\u00a0according to your requirements. \u00a0If your\u00a0machining the ends of the bar,\u00a0\u00a0we can heat treat the bar so the ends\u00a0aren\u2019t hardened,which will save your\u00a0valuable time&money, at the same time,tooling when you do your machining. All bars are precision straightened before and after hardening and will meet the highest quality straightness requirements of 0.001\u2033 to 0.002\u2033 per foot max.<\/p>\n

By\u00a0taking use of\u00a0hydraulic fluid (usually oil)\u00a0,hydraulic cylinders\u00a0can works to create pressure. \u00a0There is a piston rod which is connected to a piston. It\u00a0moves back and forth inside a cylinder barrel. \u00a0One end of the barrel is capped (closed). \u00a0The other end of the barrel has the cylinder head or gland. \u00a0The piston rod will come out of the cylinder through here. \u00a0A hydraulic pump will determine the amount of oil flow to the hydraulic cylinder, which in turn moves the piston.<\/p>\n
